story.

An original style of paining inspired in part by M.C. Escher and also
pure abstraction. It is composed from primary colors and elementary
forms that imply depth and produce multiple interpretations, dependent
upon the viewer’s expectations and state of mind. Fitting this
intention, there is a circular mirror embedded into the painting. Its
title and form reflect renewal of spirit and ascendance after
adversity.

dedication.

For Henry Bernard “Pawpaw” Bruser, my grandfather. He returned to
Louisiana after serving and being a prisoner during WWII, thin as a
scarecrow, and proceeded to flourish and build a remarkable life
grounded on faith and family, with my granny, Elizabeth. Following
many years of fighting valiantly , cancer overtook him. Through all
the monumentally difficult cycles of treatment and temporary recovery, his spirit remained strong, and the gleam of laughter-like-sunlight in his eyes only brightened. I miss you Pawpaw.

Elizabeth’s Canvas prints are great for your walls and they are fantastic gifts.
